Weigh what you Read

The game was in good progress. We had started to create a formation for making the goal. Each player had started to mark a player at the opponent and it made the game more interesting. It was just a 12 year herd playing a time pass football match. The ground was really tough for us to cop up with, the contour was fluctuating for the full length. The match was interrupted suddenly and I saw Arif and Ajith flooding to the right corner of the ground. I shouted at them and asked to get back in to the match. We got hardly an hour a day for games in the busy schedule of Navodaya,my school. I understood they were running a bit seriously, and i joined them. I saw someone sitting on the steps laying the head on to the lap. Afsal was standing right next to him. He was consoling him. As I advanced to the spot I could identify that it was Sadique and found he was crying. A millions of conclusions came to my mind. May be he might not be well, or he might had heard a bad news from his parents, even ...

Passanger Train...

Next train is at 2:40 pm. The man at the enquiry counter said. I looked at my watch. Another two hours more. Imperceptibly he added. There is a passenger train at 1:15 pm from the second platform. I was relieved hearing him, and I went back to the waiting room to join Alex. We shifted to 2nd platform taking our belong with us. We were on our way back to college after attending a marriage at Kottayam. The train came within 10 minutes and we got a seat next to the window. There was no rush in the compartment. Alex was a bit tired and he climbed on to the berth to get some sleep. I sat lonely watching the passengers at the platform. Actually I my eyes searching for some college beauties. The platform was really busy although the it was the peek of the noon. A cool breeze came seldom to get rid of the hot climate. I was sleepy and so I was resting my head on to the window frame. I don't remember when I fell in to the sleep. I looked at my watch to check the time. I have slept for alm...

A Day on CAT

Mother interrupted my dream early in the morning. She told me "its 5:30". I checked my mobile to confirm that she was not lying. Unwillingly I rose from my bed. I brushed leaning to the wall. Thinking about bathing was more worse. Mother had reminded me that water was too cool. Somehow I adjusted with that water. lost the sleepy face only after the bath. I was too tired and wanted to sleep a bit longer after watching Chelsea's victory late up to 12:30. By the time I finished my shower mother had my breakfast ready. I felt sad for my mother for making her wake up so early and making my breakfast. She always had a hard life, waking up early and when the breakfast work was over she had to run for work and after the tiresome classes again back to the household works. Whenever I was at home I have only seen her resting on Sundays and other holidays. And when she had to face some minor health probems she might have suffered worse on working so hard for us. May be this is the ca...

Half Century!!!

This comes to be my 50th post in my blog. I am a user since 11 months. I was really interested in it when I started and created the account. Like everyone else my interest faded and I almost quitted for 5 months. Now back on the field consistenty with more and more incidents to be delivered as post. Many have inspired me. I would like to thank Sadique who had helped me deliberately at different stages. I am really thankful to the comments and suggestions. I could improve my language a little bit. I am happy whenever I see that someone has visited my homepage. Everything I had posted till date are incidents which had happened in my life. By any means I didn't wanted to hurt feelings of anyone in my blog. Again thanking many friends who were unintentionally a part of the growth of my inspirations.

Classmates' Forum

Image
Orkut has made an oppurtunity for the friends to meet. We can find friends from our past, whom we thought we will never meet. Al though the distances seperate we can meet and chat through the net. When the community JNVM 10th Batch 'Classmates' started I thought it will be like a normal orkut community with just the name. But as the members increased, discussions also started and thus it showed the momentum. The community became active and it happened that there were frequent posts in it. Al most all the members joined. The discussions include the nostalgic moments, some valuations about the teachers, and as usual an attendance thread. At least people tried to make a scribb on the attendance whenever they are online. Many unrevealed secrets where unwrapped in the community. Somehow its much better than other short membered communities. There are different discussions according taste of each member. Sports, politics, movies and more. There will be quite open discussions and no ...

Captain's Game

Nikhil's smash fled in over the net. Shyam who was the setter tried for the block. But the ball was too fast that it deflected from his hand. Shamil played the first ball for praveesh to set. Shyam had the smash then. It was so perfectly timed that it landed in the first court itself. Long whistle blew announcing that Udaigiri was the champions of volleyball tournament. The cheers and blessings came next. We had a great night that day discussing about the match. The certificates were issued two days later. Mine was right on top of the bundle, with a note of captain. I was totally amazed seeing that certificate. I didn't even play a single match. What happened was that some one had given my name to the list including the substitution. So I got a certificate and since randomly mine got on top I was assigned the captain. Although I didn't deserve that prize, I boasted about the same with my friends. Still I have that captaincy certificate among my school records.

Green Campus

As I stepped on to the campus one of the things that struck my eyes were the vegetation near the roads. Campus named itself as the 'Pancharakadu'. But these trees are a relevant part of the beauty of the campus. Like the poets say these trees might have many stories to share with. They might have been a eye witness of many milestones of the college. It is really relaxing to sit under these trees. The floor is so comfortable to sit that the fallen leaves has heaped to cushion bed. The breeze and the rustling sound of the leaves make the comfort even better. That may be the prime reason for which couples enjoy their free time under these trees and it got the so called name. Another important information I could gather was that it is a high speed Wifi zone. Moreover the Ladies Hostel is just beside this area. So the evenings are often busy with birds. But the college is not taking much care of this green beauty. Many trees have fallen in the recent past. One side of it has turned...

Beyond Physics

Image
Friend, advisor, guardian, and primarily a Physics Teacher. That is how my favourite teacher can be defined. I said he is not just a teacher, since he was different from other faculty members in that institution. In a boarding school like Navodaya were life was like a hell with boundaries K R Prasad whom we call Dinkan was a source of light. As a teacher he had the best dedication I could ever see. He would take his classes perfectly and would provide notes in his own writings to everyone. He would take the xerox of it and then distribute among us. He was a person whom we could approach at any time saying anything in personal. He was too close to us that he knew everything going on in that campus. I am sure these were the reasons that made one of my friends express his first love in front of him. He scolded us if we went wrong. Guided us when we felt weak. Inspired us by being different. When my academic career gets to an end I will find his name on the top among my teachers.

Monday fever

One of the worst thing that most of the students hate will be the monday mornings. After the weekend holidays the classes will start again. Mother will disturb the morning dream. The water would be colder than ever. It was not different with me too. In navodayan life it was really critical. The schedule started with a Physical Training at 5:30 am. In most of the mondays I would try to hide myself under my bedsheet. When my friends try to wake me up, I would make them convince that I am sick. It worked at some priliminary stages, and later they never left me on bed. When we reach the training many of us will be late, and the punishment will be the next burden. Still I think I suffer a bit of that monday fever.

Senior Friends

After the roll call I was back under the statue. It was like a daily routine that I sat under it with two of my seniors Riyadh and Anoop. We would sit there spending some time chatting. There will be different topics everyday. It can be a movie, the classes, or a person we may be discussing upon. Those meetings even revealed many affairs of different students staying along with us. Riyadh and Anoop also had affairs and they shared it with me. On the previous day of their final exam we have had the same meeting. But it was tough to have that time. I could see tears in their eyes. I could realize the pain of seperation. After my schooling I often called them since I felt they were like my batchmates. They were some of the seniors who had lead me at some stages of my life and though I pay my gratitude.

Sound of Campus

After a long break college was back with programs. When permission to conduct Sargam was granted it was a bunch a bunch of students who took the responsibility of a program which they have never seen. It was their hard work that made a 2 day cultural extravaganza on the campus. The college was gloomy when there were no programs. Sargam gave a nice break for the college routine. There was real variety of programs with much quality. Some showed talents but the lack of preparation was visible. The demo items also got enough appreciation from the audience. I not here to evaluate the programs, the panel of judges had done that work perfectly. For the first year students it was their first program on college. They didn't waste their chance of participation. The voices of hail were though dull. When the events concluded the authorities expressed their gratitude towards the success of the program. Furthermore principal finished her words with the assurance of more programs on the campus....
