Passanger Train...

Next train is at 2:40 pm. The man at the enquiry counter said. I looked at my watch. Another two hours more. Imperceptibly he added. There is a passenger train at 1:15 pm from the second platform. I was relieved hearing him, and I went back to the waiting room to join Alex. We shifted to 2nd platform taking our belong with us. We were on our way back to college after attending a marriage at Kottayam. The train came within 10 minutes and we got a seat next to the window. There was no rush in the compartment. Alex was a bit tired and he climbed on to the berth to get some sleep. I sat lonely watching the passengers at the platform. Actually I my eyes searching for some college beauties. The platform was really busy although the it was the peek of the noon. A cool breeze came seldom to get rid of the hot climate. I was sleepy and so I was resting my head on to the window frame. I don't remember when I fell in to the sleep. I looked at my watch to check the time. I have slept for almost an hour. A nice girl was sitting right in front of me. She was in a black jeans and a white frock with black linings on it. There was a purple watch on her wrist. She had her hair bobbed nicely and her eye brows were dark, which made a sudden notice of them. I almost lost my sleep after seeing her right in front of me. Suddenly I noticed a lady sitting right next to her. Later I could conclude that it was her mother and I stopped staring at that girl. My eyes went back to the window and the beauty of nature. The train was too slow. It stopped at every station. It would take more than 6 more hours if it goes like this. I felt like it was trying to show us how many stations are there between Trivandrum and Kottayam. I blamed myself for choosing the passenger train. I was really bored. Alex was fast asleep. He is lucky. At least he got a good sleep. I took out the packet from his bag. I spend my time munching the snacks. After sometime 2 guys came and sat next to me. They were both about 35 years old. They may be going home after work. They kept chatting there. They made the compartment active breaking a big silence. After sometime the lady also joined them and the sound became higher. I took one or two glances at the girl, she was not even listening to their conversation. She was on a book. After scrutinizing I found it was one of the Agatha Christie crime novels. She was really concentrated on it. May be she was in some climactic of the book. After a few minutes, she created a smile on her face with some anxiety too. She started to look at all the faces around. It took her a few seconds to come back from the book. The guys were too crazy that they made fun of all even that girl. Alex came down and sat with me after a long sleep. He might have woken up from the chattering sounds. The lady also started talking to us. From her we gathered to know that they were going to see her son studying in some engineering college. They were really from north east. But the lady who had a kerala family background couldn't find it difficult to talk in malayalam. We reached Trivandrum only at 8 pm. It took almost 7 hours of journey. Blaming the train we started looking for the bus.
