Organized...

I opened the tap. The water was colder than I had expected. I opened the hot water tap. Water was coming. But for my disappointment it was also cold. With a bit sleep and laziness I filled the bucket. I was dipping my hand in it to make myself believe that it wasn't much cold. The cup was on the basin. I took it and filled it. I couldn't pour it on my body. So I dipped my hand in the cup and sprinkled the water on my body. To make it fast I just poured it suddenly on my body. Then two more to start my bath. I was shivering. To reduce the coldness I took the soap and made my body foam. It made me little bit comfortable. We were on a tour to Kodaikanal. I was the gang leader. And so I had enough responsibilities. I had to lead them to the right spot at right time. The hotels are to be arranged. Separate rooms for staff should also be assured. All these made a new role for me in life. I had to start freshly. It was in my second year in college. It was then some of my friends told me of planning a class tour. Thus the discussions started for place travel agency and more. By evening we started searching and were in the town wandering. We went to many travel agencies and collected different packages and their rates. At last we made in to conclusion and fixed the cheapest. From next day it was sole work. I was alone and had to arrange everything. I had to contact the agency bargain the rate, check for the bus and like that. It was tougher when I had to discuss it with the class. Since each one had their own decision I couldn't manage to take the right one. So I started making a decision and to support the one closer to mine and make others convince its benefits. The next thing was to seek permission and arranging the staff. There I knew well what my qualifications were and always made some big brains stand beside me. So it made me easier to select and invite the best accompanying staff. Similar to a Govt. office I had to clear many formalities of different sections for the permission to get granted. Any way it was the tour day. I kept on calling the agency for the timings and every minute details to be done. We have fixed a 3 day trip and included a Kodaikanal Hoggenekkal package. We were a gang of 48 students and two staff to accompany with. It was time for departure. My agency correspondent was with me. I settled a one third part of the total payment. When I asked whether the hotel was booked or not, he said no. I stressed him to make it confirmed just in front of me. He called a hotel manager and was talking in tamil to book the rooms. It got confirmed and he added saying that it was a 3 star hotel. The journey started. It was quite difficult for me to handle the money. So for safety I told to Lakshmi to keep it. Things went very normal. I made good communication with the bus staff and the teachers. Gave the staff separate rooms and also made the girls room in a safe position. I had to wake up early and so make others ready for the arranged time. I had to make sure of all facilities on the hotels and arrange the food in time. I could arrange a camp fire at Kodai, which was included with dinner. It was very difficult to wake up so early and bath at a place like Kodai. After the trip we returned college with memories in hand. I could return a few amount back to my classmates. No body were sick and no unfair incidents happened in between. I was the one who enjoyed the trip the least. I couldn't spent my time dancing n singing. Now let me say you a truth. It was the first class tour in my life. Due to many different reasons I couldn't attend any tour in my school life and also had missed the first year class tour in college. I had only visited some near by places with my hostlites and some with my parents. Experience was not in my account here.
