Seniority Demanded!!!



What to say about a person whom you respect without anyones force? What to write if I say I like to follow his life style? How to start if he is always in my mind?

I don't know why Shameer became a hero in my mind. Maybe his approach to certain things.
His way of handling people. His life style.

Shameer was in 8th standard when joined in 6th. That means two years of seniority. As he was in the same batch of my cousin, Shanooj we happened to together in many occasions. But I started noticing him only at the last period of their school life. We were in the same dometry with my batchmates. As I was in 10th, our classes completed soon and it was study leave. I never liked to wake up early morning. Shameer who was then in 12th was also busy with study leave. He used to wake me up every morning, and I would lie there itself covering my blanket. Seeing this he would get angry and will beat me with a stick, which he used to keep near his cot. Now I would fled up from my bed fearing his beat. But it was actually his trick. He would wake me and my friends when he feel sleepy. And after beating us, he continue his studies.

He was a real perfectionist. He always wore ironed dress. Daily washed his clothes once used. In a hostel like that it was difficult for a person to follow his way of living. He had a great number of friends. He never hated someone. Always kept good relations with teachers too. Anyway he and his batch passed leaving some tears.

After being out also I used to keep contact with Shameer. Always he tried to encourage me. I never lost the respact towards him. When I was in 12th he send me a letter, writing the importance of the studies, and thereby showing me how the outside world was. It was full of advices for my life. That makes him so important. He sees world differently. Even now when I try to call him he stats with 'salam'. Then starts his advices, and scolds me for my mistakes. This makes me respect him throughout my life.

Anyway Thanks Shameer for all ur affection and care to me and my friends. Let your life be a lesson for everyone.

The game was in good progress. We had started to create a formation for making the goal. Each player had started to mark a player at the opponent and it made the game more interesting. It was just a 12 year herd playing a time pass football match. The ground was really tough for us to cop up with, the contour was fluctuating for the full length. The match was interrupted suddenly and I saw Arif and Ajith flooding to the right corner of the ground. I shouted at them and asked to get back in to the match. We got hardly an hour a day for games in the busy schedule of Navodaya,my school. I understood they were running a bit seriously, and i joined them. Luis Figo- Someone to admire!!

I was in 9th standard. It was the season when I had started to love football. And so I had started to see many major games on TV. I got familiarised with many teams and players. I enjoyed World cup and many good tournaments. One day Aneesh, my classmate told me about Figo. He said that Figo is a great player on the mid-fields. Later I saw his game and was amazed on his skills. I became a true fan of him and kept on watching his games. It was Euro'04. That too in Portugal. Al though I was a supporter of England, I wanted to see Figo win. Watching Portugal's game I thought they deserved the cup. They made their way on to the finals. Greece. The other finalists. On analysing their path I could find that they had just luckily entered to the finals. Praying for Portugal I sat infront of the TV. Figo played an amazing game. Made many good chances.
