Study Leave...!

It was Monish who planned to rent a room for the study leave. After searching many lodges near by the college, we could find a room vacant in Manasanthi Lodge, Sreekariyam. It was a small room, but we could manage to stay. After paying the advance we left. The next day we shifted our clothes and others items to the lodge. We had a brief plan about the preparation for the exam. Anoob also joined us. He had actually joined us after 2 days. So we were 3 in a narrow room. We started well laying the books on the table and making a time table and so on. We went to library and collected the references. Thus the study leave started on an entirely different atmosphere from that of hostel. The place was really peaceful. But the fact was that the persons can never change. We couldn't wait much longer. The usual chats started here too. We took a room and were often at the hostel. After 2 weeks Monish understood the situation. Even if we were in the room we would be simply sit and chat. Monish shifted back to hostel. Now it was up to me and Anoob will be often engaged on the phone. I would go to the cafe near by and browse for hours. Thus one month of study leave came to an end. But there were no studies. We just lost our money and time. Anoob managed to get a girlfriend on that study leave and I could create an orkut account. These were the only things we gained in that period. After the end of that month we shifted.

Passanger Train...

Next train is at 2:40 pm. The man at the enquiry counter said. I looked at my watch. Another two hours more. Imperceptibly he added. There is a passenger train at 1:15 pm from the second platform. The game was in good progress. We had started to create a formation for making the goal. Each player had started to mark a player at the opponent and it made the game more interesting. It was just a 12 year herd playing a time pass football match. The ground was really tough for us to cop up with, the contour was fluctuating for the full length. The match was interrupted suddenly and I saw Arif and Ajith flooding to the right corner of the ground. I shouted at them and asked to get back in to the match. We got hardly an hour a day for games in the busy schedule of Navodaya,my school. I understood they were running a bit seriously, and i joined them. Luis Figo- Someone to admire!!

I was in 9th standard. It was the season when I had started to love football. And so I had started to see many major games on TV. I got familiarised with many teams and players. I enjoyed World cup and many good tournaments. One day Aneesh, my classmate told me about Figo. He said that Figo is a great player on the mid-fields. Later I saw his game and was amazed on his skills. I became a true fan of him and kept on watching his games. It was Euro'04. That too in Portugal. Al though I was a supporter of England, I wanted to see Figo win. Watching Portugal's game I thought they deserved the cup. They made their way on to the finals. Greece. The other finalists.
