Meeting Sreenath...

Sreenath had called me the previous night. I was very eager to meet him. But I was really in confusion. How can I identify him? I am meeting him for the first time.
Sreehari was the link between me and Sreenath. They were both in the same college. Sreehari often told me about Sreenath and thus I happened to know more about him. Later I started to call him, and thus we became good friends. But we didn't get a chance to meet each other. Sreehari told me that there was a cultural event named Diksha being organized in their campus. I felt it was the chance to meet Sreenath.
I reached the college by 10:30 in the morning. Sreehari was waiting for me in the bus stop. We went together to the stage. Among the faces gathered around the stage I was helpless to find Sreenath among them. Suddenly someone hit my back and asked me. 'Shafeeq! when did you arrive?' I replied. 'Sreenath??' After seeing him nod I added. 'Just now!' I was actually making a complete look at him at that time. He was a bit modern in his dressings, and was a little short which came to be opposite in my mind. But as I talked to him, he was really what I was expecting. He was really cooperative. He spent a lot of time with me talking and introducing some new friends. Any way it was a very rare experience of meeting someone like this.

Next train is at 2:40 pm. The man at the enquiry counter said. I looked at my watch. Another two hours more. Imperceptibly he added. There is a passenger train at 1:15 pm from the second platform. The game was in good progress. We had started to create a formation for making the goal. Each player had started to mark a player at the opponent and it made the game more interesting. It was just a 12 year herd playing a time pass football match. The ground was really tough for us to cop up with, the contour was fluctuating for the full length. The match was interrupted suddenly and I saw Arif and Ajith flooding to the right corner of the ground. I shouted at them and asked to get back in to the match. Luis Figo- Someone to admire!!

I was in 9th standard. It was the season when I had started to love football. And so I had started to see many major games on TV. I got familiarised with many teams and players. I enjoyed World cup and many good tournaments. One day Aneesh, my classmate told me about Figo. He said that Figo is a great player on the mid-fields. Later I saw his game and was amazed on his skills. I became a true fan of him and kept on watching his games. It was Euro'04. That too in Portugal. Al though I was a supporter of England, I wanted to see Figo win. Watching Portugal's game I thought they deserved the cup. They made their way on to the finals. Greece. The other finalists.
