The Pain...

I was in 9th standard. I used to play football with my friends in school ground. Almost all of us were barefooted and often get wounded. During those days my cousin, Shanooj who was in 11th gave me his boots to play. It was a used one. Actually it was now tight for his legs. I was very happy with the new boots. It was pride for me to play with my friends wearing boots. I played for almost two weeks. One day i had to complete some of my assignments and couldn't join my friends for the game. Seeing this Govind, my classmate came to me asking for my boots. As it was so precious to me I didn't had the mind to give him. But Govind was a very close friend to me and I didn't want to make him unhappy. I gave the boots with an unpleasant heart. He left with them happily. After the game Govind returned the boots. I just checked them and saw the right one torn. The stitch had broken and it was really exposed out. I was very angry and asked him to stitch it. He said that it was already...

First day in MH...

Image
MH was really a great place in my dreams. Two weeks passed since I had got in to the college. I had only heard about MH and its inmates. Hearing more and more made me love MH more and more. I was staying in IC, a nearby hostel from college. As the list was not published I couldn't get in to Men's Hostel. My classmates who were already in MH said much about it. I was eager to be in MH and didn't had even got a chance to see it. Hearing about scolding from seniors made me and my friends away from seeing MH. The new list for MH was published. Sadiq, who had also wished like me got in to list. He was ready to go and packed his things next day itself. It was a nice oppurtunity for us. We planned to go to MH accompanying Sadiq when he shifts his belongings. With a bag in my hand I moved with Sadiq. Safdar and Monish was also with me. Safdar was already an inmate of MH. We were discussing about what is going to happen. Sadiq instructed monish and me to leave when we reached at the...

The Judgement Day

I was lying on the bed trying to make a sleep. Time is 11:30 pm. Still I can't. I had switched off the light in my room and only the dining hall was lit. My parents were sitting there waiting for a phone call. They were waiting for my 10th class result. Ishaque told me that the results will be out tonight. As it was a CBSE school the results won't be published in the news paper. So we had to chose internet as the media. During that period internet had not made its effect on the society. A very few had heard about it and a few had used it. I didn't knew how to look for the result. When my father went to the street, he found one of my primary school teacher, Muneer. While talking to him he also included a topic upon me. When my father told I was waiting for the result and couldn't find it, Muneer sir told he would help out. After giving him the roll number father returned home. Then my mother and father started waiting near the phone. I couldn't sit with them. I was...

A priceless Prize...

It was onam season. Many competitions were conducted those days. One of the program was Hindi essay writing. Our Hindi teacher, Surendran came to class and announced if there were more participants. Just for a craze I lifted my hand. He noted my name and said me to write it and give to him. Topic was onam. I was sitting with Faiz. I took a white paper and started to write. Faiz told me important points for it. First I started seriously, later I felt very bored and wrote unnecessary things. It didn't had any relation to the topic. It didn't even follow the basic Hindi grammar too. I completed boasting about Mahabali. I was quite sure it won't even taken to consideration. I went to Surendran sir and submitted my essay. Days passed by. The assembly was going on. The prizes for different events were being distributed. I had forgotten that I had written an essay. And the result for Hindi essay writing was also announced. First prize goes to Lamya. The second to Shafeeq Sha. I c...

Organized...

I opened the tap. The water was colder than I had expected. I opened the hot water tap. Water was coming. But for my disappointment it was also cold. With a bit sleep and laziness I filled the bucket. I was dipping my hand in it to make myself believe that it wasn't much cold. The cup was on the basin. I took it and filled it. I couldn't pour it on my body. So I dipped my hand in the cup and sprinkled the water on my body. To make it fast I just poured it suddenly on my body. Then two more to start my bath. I was shivering. To reduce the coldness I took the soap and made my body foam. It made me little bit comfortable. We were on a tour to Kodaikanal. I was the gang leader. And so I had enough responsibilities. I had to lead them to the right spot at right time. The hotels are to be arranged. Separate rooms for staff should also be assured. All these made a new role for me in life. I had to start freshly. It was in my second year in college. It was then some of my friends tol...

New world...

I was lying on my mat to get a good sleep. Thoughts were passing through my mind. My watch beeped suddenly. It was 1:00 am. It made me more tensed for not getting sleep. How can I sleep today. After all its the first day I am staying away from my parents. It was the first day of my Navodaya school life. As I stepped my right leg in to the campus with my parents, I didn't think it was so tough to stay away from them who had cared for me for the past 11 years. After registration and allotment of hostel, we walked throughout the campus to see its inner beauty. My parents left me after some time.I went up to the gate to bid them good bye. I didn't miss them much as they just went away from my eyes. I was in an eager to spent my life on the new campus. But as I walked back to the hostel, I could realize the situation I was in. All were new faces. Only a known person in that campus was Shanooj, my cousin. I went to Shanooj and stayed with him. He was just two years senior to me on ...

Confused!!

Here are some situations when you get really confused. I have written my way of approach on them. Just apply something in your life. Don't think it as a joke many of them were successful in my case. If you have desire for something, your success is measured by the strength of that desire. Stronger the desire lower will be the blocks on your way of achieving success. I just meant that if you desire more you feel like there is nothing to prevent you. If you are confused that you are in love or not with some one. Just rewind. Does thoughts of him/her come to you when you lie on your bed trying to make a sleep. If so you have the answer. What to do when you are angry and can't control yourself. Just look at a mirror and see your face on it. No mirror. Go to a room lonely. Speak of the incident loudly to yourself and analyse it. Feeling sleepy. Think of the most important thing in your life. The thing that you desire the most. Still sleepy. Just close your eyes and enjoy the sl...

On the Stadium

We reached very early. Said Rajesh. The bus was passing through the Ernakulam city. I looked at the watch 5:05 am. I peeped through the window to see the city glazing on lights. We passed by the stadium. There was a crowd near the stadium. I showed Rajesh the crowd and said that it seemed like we were late. We went Ernakulam to see the India-Australia ODI match. We were 30 in a hired bus. Since we were a gang it was singing n dancing throughout the night. No one have had enough sleep. Our bus slowed down and it stopped a few metres away from the stadium. We boarded the bus entered a hotel to have breakfast. It was ramzan days and I had fasted. So I waited for others to finish off. The stadium would be opened by 6 am. There were many selling hats, paintings, bands, flags, jersy and more. I also bought a round hat. Some where distributing pluck cards and banners. We went inside after waiting on a long quee checking and directing seats. As we were a gang we shouted and made our presence...

Orkut mania!!

Image
Do I have some new scraps? I enquired to Anoop who was busy orkutting. He opened my scrapbook. There were 2 new scraps. One was a common scrap and the other one was from my cousin. I was excited on seeing it. My cousin was studying at bangalore and he was new to orkut. I was eager to reply him. After Anoop logged out I took the seat and made me available on orkut. I registered in orkut in Nov 2006. Orkut didn't had much impact those days. There were very few members in it who where known to me. And so it became bored after one month of continuous use. Later many of my friends joined on it and praised it. But I didn't feel much craze on it since I had already known its taste. I didn't even log in for almost 10 months. My friends were very active on it and I would try to turn my face when they use orkut in front of me. I always thought it to be useless and never supported my friends. One day Alex was using orkut and I joined him. He was simply scrapping an online girl. I...

Luis Figo- Someone to admire!!

I was in 9th standard. It was the season when I had started to love football. And so I had started to see many major games on TV. I got familiarised with many teams and players. I enjoyed World cup and many good tournaments. One day Aneesh, my classmate told me about Figo. He said that Figo is a great player on the mid-fields. Later I saw his game and was amazed on his skills. I became a true fan of him and kept on watching his games. It was Euro'04. That too in Portugal. Al though I was a supporter of England, I wanted to see Figo win. Watching Portugal's game I thought they deserved the cup. They made their way on to the finals. Greece. The other finalists. On analysing their path I could find that they had just luckily entered to the finals. Praying for Portugal I sat infront of the TV. Figo played an amazing game. Made many good chances. But all his efforts were in vain. Again the luck has helped Greece. They won the game on the goal of Charisteas, with a last minute...
