God's hand

Can GOD have birth? October 30,1960. A god was born on this date. Diego Armando Maradona. A player who was the only force for a team to be on the winning side. When he joined the national team itself he realized that the country strongly depended on him. But to prove these feelings he had to go through one of the worst shocks: not taking part in World Cup ‘78, that on top was going to take place in Argentina. He cried with no consolation, as if someone had died. He then promised his parents, his girlfriend and friends that he would win every single trophy in the world and would bring them home. Last day Maradona was here in India. He proved himself as the god by making a crowd of lakhs on Kolkata. People still believe this man as a mystery, as a god, not only in Argentina but in the whole world. He had his own problems and it has ruined his life at some stages. The drug addiction, the uncontrollable anger and more. But at Kolkata he was really different, after taking charge of the Coach of Argentina Football team, and successfully starting the charge. He was very much recovered from his illness, and was relaxed that he danced on the stage. His temper was quite controlled and it showed when the fans tried to touch him. When people said about the goal he scored against England as God's hand, they really meant it. Can this God make Argentina repeat the 1986?

Next train is at 2:40 pm. The man at the enquiry counter said. I looked at my watch. Another two hours more. Imperceptibly he added. There is a passenger train at 1:15 pm from the second platform. The game was in good progress. We had started to create a formation for making the goal. Each player had started to mark a player at the opponent and it made the game more interesting. It was just a 12 year herd playing a time pass football match. The ground was really tough for us to cop up with, the contour was fluctuating for the full length. The match was interrupted suddenly and I saw Arif and Ajith flooding to the right corner of the ground. I shouted at them and asked to get back in to the match. We got hardly an hour a day for games in the busy schedule of Navodaya,my school. I understood they were running a bit seriously, and i joined them. Luis Figo- Someone to admire!!

I was in 9th standard. It was the season when I had started to love football. And so I had started to see many major games on TV. I got familiarised with many teams and players. I enjoyed World cup and many good tournaments. One day Aneesh, my classmate told me about Figo. He said that Figo is a great player on the mid-fields. Later I saw his game and was amazed on his skills. I became a true fan of him and kept on watching his games. It was Euro'04. That too in Portugal. Al though I was a supporter of England, I wanted to see Figo win. Watching Portugal's game I thought they deserved the cup. They made their way on to the finals. Greece. The other finalists.
